Phil`s Hungry Haven in Charlestown

Wonderful home cooked seafood spot. I had the 4oz lobster with Cole slaw and fries. My son had fries and they were perfectly made. You can tell they don't reuse their oil. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Very simple decor but it's the food that shines. The lobster was perfectly made, not overcooked or too much mayo.

The food wasn't good right. All the bacon was burnt to powdery consistency, the home fries weren't cooked enough.

Great little tucked away spot. The food was top notch and the staff are friendly. We had the lobster Benedict. A unique twist on an already delicious dish. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

This is a small place with about a dozen tables and no counter. The parking lot was not paved and the interior décor was not fancy (maybe a little dark too). Waiter was pleasant and quick. The breakfast I got was pretty good for the price. The chowder was excellent and the bowl was ample. In the past the clam cakes and fried clams were also well above average with good portions.The emphasis here is on delivering good food at a reasonable price, especially the seafood. Could have rated this 4.5 or higher based solely on the seafood.

The best breakfast in the area. The Corned Beef Hash and the Sausage Gravy are the best I've had to date. Friendly fast service. The woman who waits tables here makes visiting this restaurant a pleasure. Unfortunate for me I never asked her name. But will definitely do so on our next visit.

It's the best breakfast and lunch restaurant in Charlestown RI...service, food and prices are excellant. The lobster roll was perfect and the French toast and regular breakfast are superb! Hats off to the chef!

We are here on a mini vacation and looked up google reviews, reviews looked good so we thought we would give it a try and I'm glad we did. Great breakfast, we all had different omelets and wow they were all great. Oh and the coffee was great also!!

Went there for the first time a few wks ago. I had a hard time deciding what to have for breakfast as everything on the menu was so enticing! I decided on the Lobster Benedict. They could just serve that and the cute little place would still have people waiting for a table! Major praise to the owners. Looking forward to going again in few wks and hopefully get to tell them in person.👍

I liked it. Had breakfast the other day. I was very tasty. I had a meat lovers omelette and the bacon in it was cooked to perfection. My wife had a veggie omelette which she also liked. The best part was my 15 year old daughter who after looking at the menu proclaimed that they had "nothing good there". I rattled off a couple of items at which she settled on the stuffed French toast and then proceeded to clean the plate. My 14 year old son had the banana bread French toast and also cleaned his plate. The wait for the food was as expected for what we ordered. The coffee flowed as we waited. The prices were reasonable. The service friendly and there was plenty of parking. It was a little busy for a Monday so I would expect it is hoping on the weekend. It was a little loud but not obnoxious. Nice location also on the way to the beaches. I'll be back. It was a nice find.

Get there early on a Sunday morning...busy busy busy.. Great breakfast choices... delicious food...worth the wait if you don't mind waiting 20 minutes for your turn.

Pleasant staff good social distancing and of course great food

They are very nice but it is the only diner for miles which means the wait is wayyyyyyy too long. We ordered to go and still waited about 30 minutes for the food. But it was worth it because it was really good

Just moved to Charlestown and absolutely love this place so happy we are finding all the local spots!

We were very pleased, the service and the food was good, and they were busy too. We will definitely come again next time we are in RI. Everything was delicious. Best corned beef I have ever had!

We stumbled on the Hungry Haven after a long search for places that were open. We happened to be visiting during a two day black out in the town. We were thrilled to find this gem open and though cash was preferable they were able to accept credit cards using the carbon copy machine. The food was amazing, the portions were perfect, the coffee was delicious and the prices were surprisingly low. My recommendation is to get the stuffed french toast and a side of kielbasa, you won't be disappointed.

If you are in Charlestown you can't leave without stopping at Hungry Haven for breakfast. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable.

A very solid 4. It is pretty much impossible to get a 5 in the Covid world.

Its good, but can get busy. Dont wait more then 15 minuets. Get there well before 9am unless you want to wait up to an hour. Best for corned beef hash and eggs

The most friendly people ever and I liked their burgers as well. The location is also very cute, right next to a very nice gallery, so just something to do after a great lunch!

Stopped here fir brunch with a friend before heading to Umbrella Factory. Food was hot, decent, coffee cup never went empty, and Dee was great. Will definitely stop here again.

Terrible service. Cold Lobster Benedict. Long wait. Miserable waitstaff. The only thing keeping it from 1 star was the lobster meat was cooked perfect (although cold)... Just left. Won’t go back

Went for lunch today for grilled cheese with bacon on rye which was delicious! We normally eat breakfast there which is good but tried them for lunch!

our first time visiting the Observatory then went for breakfast here, the staff where so polite, food was good but we were more please with the cozy feeling it gave us, the amount of grandma and granpa eating was adorable.
